    Forehead Reconstruction Procedure Explained

    Forehead reconstruction involves reshaping the bone and soft tissues of the forehead to create a more refined and gender-affirming contour. The procedure typically includes reducing or augmenting the brow ridge, followed by repositioning soft tissues for a natural appearance.
    This will last around 90 minutes and include a short form filling exercise for your previous and current ocular and health conditions.
    Whilst the consultation is free most of our patients proceed to have a vested interest in proceeding with treatment and many report to have life changing outcomes.
    The procedure begins with a thorough consultation and evaluation to ensure you’re a suitable candidate. You’ll receive preoperative instructions, including skincare and fasting guidelines. During the surgery, performed under general anaesthesia, incisions are made along the hairline to minimise scarring. The surgeon will then reshape the frontal bone and adjust the soft tissues as needed to achieve your desired look. Once the adjustments are made, the incisions are closed with sutures, and the procedure typically takes 3-4 hours. Post-surgery, you’ll be monitored in recovery, with most patients staying in the hospital for 1-2 days. Following the procedure, you’ll be given specific care instructions to aid healing and will attend follow-up appointments to track your progress.
