In 2007, Dr. Abouzeid was appointed Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a special interest in colposcopy, gynaecological oncology, and minimal access surgery.
In 2017, Dr. Abouzeid became the lead Consultant for Gynaecological Oncology and Colposcopy services at Pennine Acute Hospital NHS Trust, Manchester. His dedication to advancing the field saw him join the endometriosis center team at the Trust, further solidifying his expertise in gynaecological care.
Dr. Abouzeid is a recognised preceptor for Advanced Training Skills modules in Benign Abdominal Surgery, Gynaecological Oncology, Laparoscopic Surgery, and Colposcopy at The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. His contributions to research are notable, with several clinical papers published and peer-reviewed in prestigious journals such as the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
