Dr. Hisham Abouzeid is a distinguished figure in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics, bringing over 25 years of dedicated experience to his practice. His medical journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1983, which laid the foundation for a career marked by continuous learning and professional growth. In 1994, Dr. Abouzeid became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a testament to his commitment to excellence in women’s health.

Dr. Abouzeid’s quest for advanced knowledge led him to earn a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, followed by an MSc in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy in 2016. His expertise is further enhanced by his accreditation in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, alongside advanced training in gynaecological ultrasonography from The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Throughout his career, Dr. Abouzeid has amassed a wealth of experience, having worked in both the UK and Egypt. His UK tenure spans over 30 years, during which he held various specialist and senior positions, including a role at The Teaching Hospital of the University of Cambridge. In 2007, Dr. Abouzeid was appointed Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a special interest in colposcopy, gynaecological oncology, and minimal access surgery.

In 2017, Dr. Abouzeid became the lead Consultant for Gynaecological Oncology and Colposcopy services at Pennine Acute Hospital NHS Trust, Manchester. His dedication to advancing the field saw him join the endometriosis center team at the Trust, further solidifying his expertise in gynaecological care.

Dr. Abouzeid is a recognised preceptor for Advanced Training Skills modules in Benign Abdominal Surgery, Gynaecological Oncology, Laparoscopic Surgery, and Colposcopy at The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. His contributions to research are notable, with several clinical papers published and peer-reviewed in prestigious journals such as the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
