Fat transfer, also known as autologous fat grafting, is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance body contours by transferring fat from one area of the body to another. This process is often used in body feminisation to create a more rounded, feminine shape. The procedure involves liposuction to extract fat from areas such as the abdomen or thighs, followed by the careful injection of this fat into targeted areas to achieve a smoother, more shapely silhouette.

    Fat Transfer Procedure Explained

    The fat transfer process begins with liposuction to extract fat from a chosen donor site. This fat is then purified and injected into areas where enhanced volume is desired. The goal is to achieve natural-looking, feminine contours that complement your overall body shape.
    This will last around 90 minutes and include a short form filling exercise for your previous and current ocular and health conditions.
    Whilst the consultation is free most of our patients proceed to have a vested interest in proceeding with treatment and many report to have life changing outcomes.
    During your initial consultation, the surgeon will discuss your aesthetic goals and conduct a medical evaluation. The fat transfer procedure generally takes 2-4 hours and is performed under either general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with sedation. After the procedure, you will be monitored before being discharged on the same day. Some swelling and bruising may occur, and most patients return to normal activities within 1-2 weeks. Full recovery typically takes 4-6 weeks, depending on individual healing rates.
